PROGRESS INDICATORS
Wooded or tree-filled space
Invite the child to choose a tree and approaches it gently.
Step 1
Invite the child to place their hands on the bark or lean against the tree.
Step 2
Allow 3 minutes of silence: feeling the texture, the temperature, the solidity.
Step 3
Guide: 'Breathe with the tree. Inhale when you think it inhales. Exhale when you think it exhales.'.
Step 4
Share: 'What did I feel? What did I give? What did I receive?'.
Step 5
Step 6
Active sensory listening: The child spontaneously describes a physical sensation experienced in nature (warmth, sound, texture) with increasingly precise vocabulary according to age.
Body-nature connection: The child places their hands on bark, lies in the grass, closes their eyes facing the sun - grounding gestures initiated without prompting.
Emotional regulation through nature: The child returns to a calm state after time in nature and names it: "I feel better / calmer / less stressed."
Expression of inner feelings: The child translates their sensory experience into words, drawing, or writing.
