DETAILED PROCEDURE
Gather the whole group together in a circle for this activity. Explain calmly to the children: "One of the most powerful forms of altruism is amplifying someone whose voice isn't being heard as loudly as it should be."
Step 1
Voice amplification: explicitly naming and crediting someone's contribution in front of others / repeating a good idea and saying whose it was / introducing someone's perspective that hasn't reached the room yet.
Step 2
Use these scenarios: a classmate's idea is taken without credit / a quiet person says something important that gets talked over / someone's contribution is invisible.
Step 3
Say gently to the children: "When you amplify someone who isn't being heard, you give them something money can't buy."
Step 4
Practice amplification in a group discussion; debrief the effect.
