DETAILED PROCEDURE
This activity works best one-on-one, or with one child at a time within a small group. Set up a pretend play scenario like a restaurant or hospital.
Step 1
Invite children to divide the roles: "Who wants to be the cook and who wants to be the customer?"
Step 2
Invite the children to interact according to the functions of their characters (ordering, serving, etc.).
Step 3
Then suggest inverting roles so everyone can try another social position.
