Me with Nature
15 min
Learning goal :
Learning to contemplate nature
Pedagogical Intention :
Awakening an aesthetic gaze
Target skills :
Developing attention to free and aerial movement. Feeling the lightness and freedom of flight as an inner experience.
Materials :
Outdoor space + Paper and pencils for afterwards
Detailed procedure :
1. Settle outside in silence, gazing at the sky and trees
2. As soon as a bird is spotted, follow it with the eyes without speaking
3. Try to identify its color, its size, its call
4. The adult observes alongside without directing
5. Brief sharing after 10 minutes: what bird, what flight, what feeling
Progress Indicators :
Contemplation posture: Lies down or sits quietly outside, eyes open, without adult prompting.
Slowing of the gaze: Follows a slow natural element (cloud, bird, sun) with their eyes without getting up or speaking, until it disappears from view.
Naming a contemplative feeling: Spontaneously expresses a feeling after contemplation.
Grounding and presence in the moment: Closes their eyes or remains still for 2 to 15 minutes (depending on age) without seeking distraction or peer interaction.
