DETAILED PROCEDURE
Gather the whole group together in a circle for this activity. Support a child who can't formulate a request to a peer.
Step 1
Whisper a script phrase: "Say: Can I play with you?"
Step 2
Invite the child to repeat the suggestion to their classmate to initiate the meeting.
Step 3
Observe the often positive response and concludes: "See? Your words opened the door to friendship."
