This activity works best one-on-one, or with one child at a time within a small group. Encourage careful observation of a peer during a conflict.
Step 1
Guide analysis: "Look at his clenched hands. Is he angry or afraid?"

Invite the child to identify visible physical clues such as fists or furrowed brows.

Receive the child's response warmly without correcting.
