DETAILED PROCEDURE

Gather the whole group together in a circle for this activity. Alert the group when seeing a child struggling - for example, opening a box or putting on a jacket.

Step 1

Encourage helping by saying: "You need help? Want to try doing it together?"

Step 2

Another child approaches and offers their help to overcome the obstacle.

Step 3

Invite the children to end with a thank-you: "Thanks! It's so much easier when two people work together."
