DETAILED PROCEDURE

Set up this activity in pairs. Two children have different building plans for the same block tower.

Step 1

Offer mediation: "You want a roof, they want a door. Can we do both?"

Step 2

Invite the children to find a compromise - each building one side of the tower.

Step 3

Celebrate the final result: "Your tower became special because it holds both your ideas."
