DETAILED PROCEDURE

This activity works best one-on-one, or with one child at a time within a small group. Explain calmly to the child: "I'm going to speak now, and you listen all the way to the end."

Step 1

Guide their posture by saying: "My ears are wide open, my mouth is closed."

Step 2

Guide the child into an attentive listening posture: hands on knees, gaze toward the speaker.

Step 3

Mark the end clearly with a gesture: "I'm done. Now it's your turn."
