DETAILED PROCEDURE

This activity works best one-on-one, or with one child at a time within a small group. Explain calmly to the child: "Contributions don't always show up at the same time. Some people generate the idea; others make it happen. Both are essential - and both deserve recognition."

Step 1

Introduce longitudinal contribution awareness: track who contributes what, when, and how throughout a project (not just at the dramatic moments).

Step 2

End-of-project protocol: everyone names one contribution from every team member - including themselves.

Step 3

Say gently to the child: "The person who quietly made the logistics work made the project possible just as much as the person with the big idea."

Step 4

Journal for each project: what did each person bring that the project couldn't have done without?

Step 5

Step 6

Step 7

Step 8

Step 9

Step 10

PROGRESS INDICATORS

The child contributes to the recognition protocol for every team member.

The child identifies at least one non-obvious contribution in every project.

The child reports that team morale improves when all contributions are named.
