This activity works best one-on-one, or with one child at a time within a small group. Invite child to commit to a task indispensable to the shared project.
Step 1
Introduce the pillar metaphor by saying: "If a pillar stops holding up the roof, the whole tower falls."
Step 2
Invite the child to take full responsibility for their specific task through to completion.
Step 3
At the end, adult leads a reflective analysis: "How did your work help the whole team today?"
