DETAILED PROCEDURE
This activity works best one-on-one, or with one child at a time within a small group. Explain calmly to the child: "I like red - what about you?"
Step 1
Validate their difference by saying: "You prefer blue? That's different from me - and that's great!"
Step 2
Two different-colored objects are placed side by side to symbolize acceptance.
Step 3
Celebrate the diversity of opinions: "Look - we have two different ideas and that's a gift."
